It was wonderful to see St Edmunds Church, Hardingstone, full of young people on Tuesday 14th September for 1st Hardingstone flag blessing service,
Canon Beverley, formerly from Living Brook Benefice and Rural Dean, led a lovely service which saw all sections old flags retired and the new flags blessed. All sections were involved with colour parties from Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers and Active Support.
The St George Flag, Patron Saint of Scouting, was also blessed. The young people gave readings and spoke about what the flags meant to them and how they demonstrate their Scout Values.
We are very proud of how smart all the young people looked and how well behaved they all were.
